You change your lipstick to match your outfit and switch your eye makeup to suit the occasion, but are you doing the same with your eyebrow style? It’s easy to get into a brow rut – doing them the exact same way, day in and day out – but a few small tweaks to the way you style the fuzzy framers on your forehead can make a huge difference to your overall look.
To prove it, Benefit is offering brow makeovers at all Myer counters, where your brows will be expertly styled in one of four ways: feathered, straight, natural, or bold and angular, so you can learn how to change up your look with ease.
So far, the natural style has proven to be the clear favourite with Australian women: up to 70 per cent of those who visit Benefit opt for this style. This is followed by the bold and angular look, which is the preferred option for around 16 per cent of women.
For the month of May, Benefit’s national brow artist Hannah Terrett has created an exclusive fifth style. Dubbed the power brow, it’s designed to be, “fluffier and more textured at the front, with a more defined and carved out edge at the tail,” Terrett explains.
“I wanted to create a look that encourages women to tap into their bolder yet still feminine side,” she tells Emporium. “It represents being fearless, taking risks and owning it.”
Bold Is Beautiful
The timing couldn’t be better, as Benefit also celebrates its annual Bold Is Beautiful event throughout May. This month-long campaign will see the brand donate $10 from every brow wax to one of three Australian women’s charities: Look Good Feel Better, Fitted For Work and Sister2Sister. Benefit has pledged to donate a total of $200,000 to the charities, which equates to 20,000 brow waxes, nationwide.
Why not use Bold is Beautiful as an opportunity to try out a bolder brow style of your own, and help raise much-needed funds in the meantime?
As Terrett says of the look she’s created: “It shows confidence in the way you look and feel, and is all about putting your best and most confident self forward. To put it simply: the power brow is about being bold and beautiful.”
